When The Universe Delivers

When The Universe Delivers

Sometimes the package the universe delivers you doesn’t look exactly like the package you planned.

But then you learn that the universe doesn’t deliver what you think you want, that vision you’ve created in your head. Instead, it delivers what your heart knows you want, that thing that’s aligned with your soul, your values and your purpose.

And it when it delivers this gift to you, the key to receiving this gift is to be courageous, open your heart, let go of the pre-designed construct of your life, trust the process and enjoy the adventure of a lifetime.

Go Further To See Further

Go Further To See Further

Sometimes when you go a little bit further, you see a little bit more.

When you’re amidst change or you’re heading out on a new path, you may not see exactly what you want in front of you. You may even look out and feel that you have no idea where you’re going.

But, if you have the courage to step out just a little bit further, moving one foot in front of the other, you will eventually turn a corner.

And then you’ll see a brand new vista ahead, that new place where you’re headed, where you want to go and where you want to be. But there is no way you are going to see it until you turn the corner.

So keep moving forward, keep taking steps and have faith that the view ahead will become clear, once you turn that corner.

Open Your Heart, Again

Open Your Heart, Again

Courage is what you need to open your heart again, to allow the broken pieces to be exposed, so they can be healed by a new positive experience.

Bucketfulls of courage, by the way is what you need. Your brain will be screaming at you that there’s danger, but your heart will be telling you you’re ready to heal, ready to grow, ready to love and ready to rewrite your story and create a new future.

So go ahead, step into the wilderness, open your heart again and feel alive in this new adventure.

Goals Don’t Care That It’s Raining

Goals Don’t Care That It’s Raining

Your goals don’t care that it’s raining out…or thundering.

Last Saturday, if you’re local to Vancouver and remember it was dumping rain along with thunder and lightening in the late morning. But the weather didn’t know that I had committed to running 16k that day for my half marathon training for San Diego. And it didn’t care either. And my goal didn’t care about any excuses I would have about getting the task done that I committed to.

So, I geared up, got out there and ran my 16k. And I felt amazing as I listened to my new playlist, A New Happy, and ran amongst the giant firs and cedars and beautiful nature that defines the West Coast.

A few years ago I never thought I could run this far. But through sticking to my goals, rain, snow or shine, I now can do things I never thought I could do. And knowing this, it only gets better from here!

Vulnerability is A Knife Edge

Vulnerability is A Knife Edge

Vulnerability is walking along a knife edge between letting go of the past and opening up to a new future. Neither are easy but both are necessary.

As new people and experiences come int our life, we constantly face a decision to either open ourselves to the future or hold onto the past. This moment in time is a moment of pure vulnerability, if we choose. This moment can be a gift and an opportunity to heal and grow, but only if we choose.

The choice is ours. And if we choose wisely and lean in to the discomfort, there is this extraordinary thing waiting on the other side. There is deep connection, compassion, empathy and understanding. But only if we choose. And the choice is completely ours.

What will you choose?
